Browns Lose Again, College Player Burned, Wade Standing O, Mannequin Challenge In White House

FOOTBALL

The Cleveland Browns are making history, but not in a good way. After another loss Thursday night against the Baltimore Ravens, the Browns are now 0-10, their worst start in the history of the franchise. They are also the first team since 2011 to use 3 Quarterbacks in one game. Ravens 28, Browns 7.

In an odd story out of the college ranks, Jonnu Smith a senior tight end at FIU (Florida International University) season ended after his girlfriend poured boiling water on him causing severe burns. Smith is an NFL prospect.  His girlfriend is 5 months pregnant and will be charged with aggravated battery.

BASKETBALL

Dwayne Wade got a standing ovation in his return to Miami. Wade famously joined the Chicago Bulls this summer after spending 13 seasons with the Miami Heat.  Even though Wade got a warm reception from the crowd, he said it was a weird game to play. He said, “Just a good environment though, man. The fans were great. I appreciate the ovation, the cheers. The things that they were saying, I appreciate it all. But the game itself was weird.” Wade helped his new team to a 98-95 win.

Mannequin ChallengeThe NBA Champion Cleveland Cavaliers were invited to the White House on Thursday as a congratulation on their winning season. In addition to spending time with the President, they seemed to have a blast doing the mannequin challenge with First Lady Michelle Obama.
