BASKETBALL

Andre IguodalaIn the NBA Finals, the Golden State Warriors came out strong and fighting to even the series with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Stephen Curry and Andre Iguodala lit up the court with 22 points each. Steve Kerr, the Warriors coach, replaced their sluggish center Andrew Bogut with Iguodala and the Team responded with energy and confidence we haven’t seen in the past two games. In a scary moment, the Cavs Lebron James flew into the lens of an ESPN cameraman and cut his head. He didn’t need stitches and after a few minutes on the ground, easily sinked his 2 free throws. The Cavs will need  Lebron in perfect form the next two games as the series now moves back to Oakland for game 5.  Warriors 103, Cavaliers 82

ESPN awarded Caitlyn Jenner the Arthur Ashe Courage Award and ageless sportscaster Bob Costas was not pleased. He said, “I wish Caitlyn all the happiness in the world and all the peace of mind in the world. However, it strikes me that awarding the Arthur Ashe Award to Caitlyn Jenner is just a crass exploitation play — it’s a tabloid play. In the broad world of sports, I’m pretty sure they could’ve found someone -– and this is not anything against Caitlyn Jenner –- who was much closer to actively involved in sports, who would’ve been deserving of what that award represents.”
